About Raleen

I love new, fulfilling,, and challenging experiences working as a speech-language pathologist.  At MSPG I found a novel practice environment that is not only fulfilling and challenging, but has fostered my growth as a professional.  I have found that my colleagues are amazing, engaged, innovative, and highly motivated individuals who set a high bar with regard to the services they provide.  The individuals and families I have served are just as awesome, amazing, motivated, and engaged.  Whether I am working with an adult accent client or children with articulation, language, fluency or reading disorders, the positive atmosphere at MSPG has made an impact on me and my clients. I look forward to making a difference with the diversity of clients I serve.  After all, in any language, in any culture, nourish communication;  communication nourishes.

Testimonial:                                                                                                        "You did a great job and ultimately succeeded in making my son far more intelligible, something another speech therapist was unable to do.  Thank you!
I think it was really helpful that you identified many different things he was doing that all contributed to his unintelligibility -- more than just the "r" problem that I came in for.  I also thought it was great that you had him read Einstein quotes instead of nonsense sentences.  We enjoyed those."  (His mom)

"Raleen's greatest strength is her ability to identify what motivates the child.  Both of my sons see Raleen for reading and processing issues.  Raleen realized that my sons love sports, so she incorporates sports into the lessons to keep them engaged and focused.  I also appreciate her willingness to communicate with my children's teachers, so she can understand where they need extra support." (mom)

"After a couple of unsuccessful stints in speech therapy, we had pretty much given up hope of any dramatic progress, but we are delighted that we tried one more time.  Ms. Miller has had a noticeable positive impact on my step-son's speech.  Just as importantly to his parents, she has had a noticeable positive impact on his attitude, when it comes to improving his speech.  Her emphasis on the importance of self-reliance has been much-appreciated and is perhaps the most important tool we have to encourage continued progress at home. Her phrase "if it is to be, it's up to me" has become a favorite mantra in our household!  We are grateful for her close attention to detail, her kind but firm way with her students, and her clear interest in "graduating" them. My step-son says she's "one of the best teachers ever."  (mom and step-son)
