EVALUATIONS

What is the purpose of a Literacy evaluation?

An evaluation is an important first step in literacy treatment. The speech-language pathologist (SLP) thoroughly assess a client’s linguistic strengths and weaknesses using a variety of evidence-based practices. With information gained from the assessment, a diagnosis is determined and an individualized treatment plan is tailored.

How do I know which type of evaluation is right for me or for my child?

We offer reading, writing and spelling evaluations or a comprehensive evaluation that covers all aspects of literacy. Each evaluation includes a thorough written report and a meeting to discuss the findings. Literacy evaluations are available for Kindergarten children through adults.
